EL-Harcon started off selling and distributing classical petroleum testers. We partnered with reputable manufacturers to make available to our local market the instruments for the particular parameter they intended to measure.
In the course of our sales program we discovered that there were not many Nigerian companies building petroleum laboratories that meets internationally accepted standards as prescribed in the international standard they intend to establish.
In 2006 the company diversified into the design, construction, and installation of petroleum testing laboratories that meet the requirements of ASTM, IP, ISO, DIN, AASHTO etc. To date we have set-up over 50 laboratories in Nigeria and the West African region. All our laboratories are certified by the department of petroleum resources DPR.
In 2007 we established a full-fledged fuel laboratory and service center, where we offer training on the operation of our instruments. Our service Centre remains the only one of its kind in Nigeria. This has made us the preferred service provider because we are able to support our instruments over a long period of time, thereby saving our customers’ money and eliminating down time.
